Driving Directions

From the North: Take route 93 South(Southeast Expressway) to exit 18 (Roxbury/Mass Ave)At lights, go straight into Melnea Cass Boulevard. See on Melnea Cass instructions below.

From the South: Take Route 93 (Southeast Expressway) to Exit 18 and follow the signs to Mass. Ave. At lights, go straight onto Melnea Cass Boulevard. See on Melnea Cass instructions below.

From the West: Take the Mass Turnpike East all the way to the end in Boston. Follow the signs for 93 South. On south take exit 19. At lights, go straight onto Melnea Cass Boulevard. See on Melnea Cass instructions below.

On Melnea Cass: At the 3rd set of lights go left onto Harrison Avenue. At the 3rd light, a blinking red one, go straight onto Warren Street. At the 7th set of lights you will be facing the Charles Street AME church. Bear to the right of the church onto Elm Hill Avenue. Take the 2nd left on to Crawford Street. Freedom House is the last building on the right on Crawford Street. The parking lot is just beyond the building on the right.

Redline: Take the Red Line train to Downtown Crossing Stop. Follow the signs to the Orange Line heading for Forest Hills. Go to the Orange Line instructions below.

Green Line: Take any Green Line trolley to the Park Street stop. Follow the signs to the Orange Line heading for Forest Hills. Go to the Orange Line instructions below. Blue Line: Take the Blue Line train to the State Street stop. Follow the signs to the Orange Line heading for Forest Hills. Go to the Orange Line instructions below.

Orange Line: Take the Orange Line towards Forest Hills and get off at Ruggles Station. Take either the #19 Fields Corner, #23 Ashmont or #28 Mattapan square bus and get off on Warren Street at the Crawford Street stop. Walk up Crawford Street to Freedom House, the first building on the left.
